When
Bob Dylan sang the opening line of Blowin’
in the Wind, he didn’t use anything
flashy, just a voice and a guitar—and
the kind of clarity that cuts straight through.
It wasn’t trying to impress. It was just
true. And that’s why it lasted. That’s
how I think about the way I photograph weddings.
I work with a Rolleiflex—a 1960s-era
medium-format film camera that was used to photograph
fashion cover photos for Vanity Fair
and Vogue. Black and white film. Deliberate
craftsmanship. I don’t shoot thousands
of images. I make maybe 30 or 40 photographs
over the course of a day. And every one is intentional.
I focus on wedding day portraits and
a bit of ceremony coverage. Photographs
that will outlast everything else. Portraits
that you will one day hold in your hands and
say, “I’m so glad we have this.”

These are the portraits
of the people who matter most. Your parents. Your grandparents.
Your brother who flew in from abroad. The aunt who believed in you
and encouraged you to become a lawyer. These are the family icons.
The quiet heroes. The real VIPs and the ones you’ll miss the
most someday. Their portraits are what I make. Not candids. Not
event coverage. Real, composed, timeless portraits. Photographs
that would not look out of place on the walls of the National
Portrait Gallery. Black and white. Film. Classic.
If you’re legacy-minded, someone who collects art and understands
the weight of a single photograph—it’s unlike anything
else being offered right now. Like the Dylan song—it stays
with you.

In my 30+ years as a
photojournalist, I've photographed U.S. Presidents, dignitaries,
celebrities, musicians and movie stars. My wedding
work has always been rooted in trust, discretion, and respect—for
the subject and for the moment. For the most private of
clientele, that means no social media posts and no tagging.
Just museum-quality images, delivered professionally and
with care in the highest quality leather-bound albums and
frames. Because I shoot film—and because every frame
is made with patience and precision—I can only take
a few commissions each year. This is not for everyone. It's
for clients who understand art. Who collect it. Who value
permanence over popularity. If you are someone who is legacy-minded,
someone who collects art and understands the weight of a
single photograph—you need to know about this. It's
unlike anything else being offered right now. Like the song
Dylan sang—it stays with you.
