You can Star in a Movie. It's Easy!

Held at the beautiful Rocky Mountain Cinema Retreat near Boulder, it is an ideal opportunity for a long weekend getaway to star in a short film.

Attend the Weekend Cinema Getaway and you'll be the star of a short narrative (comedy, mystery or dramatic) film shot on DV and directed by award-winning filmmaker, Kenneth Wajda.

Once registered, you'll receive your script in the mail prior to the retreat weekend, so you can learn your lines.

Friday night is the rehearsal with all the actors.

Saturday is the film shoot. Be prepared to learn what all the roles on a film set are, and participate in crew positions when you're off-camera.

Editing of the film is completed on Saturday night by Kenneth Wajda.

Sunday is the premiere of the film and each actor receives a DVD copy to take home to show family and friends. You're the STAR!

The Star-in-a-Movie cinema weekend requires two or more participants for it to take place. (If you have someone who would be willing to attend with you, then we can tailor a weekend to your schedule.)

We shoot a DV short film using the people who are signed up for the weekend (taking into consideration age, gender, type, experience, etc.) We actually write a piece tailored to the group, so if we get a person who is a cop and is willing to bring his/her uniform along, we make use of a cop as a character.

The cost of the cinema weekend is $1190 per person and includes two nights of lodging at an Stone Mountain Lodge in Lyons, Colorado, a wonderful mountain town just north of Boulder.
